3 Things a Bride Should Do Before the Big Day

When you are planning a wedding, there is so much to do before the big day! From choosing vendors, picking out a wedding dress, making a budget, and more. There are already a ton of wedding to-do lists and checklists available on the internet, so today we’re going to be talking about some often forgotten items that we believe brides should do before the big day.

1. Spend time with your partner

It sounds obvious, but it is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of wedding planning that you forget to truly celebrate your engagement season with your partner. Whether it’s 8 months or 2 years long, your engagement season will most likely feel like it flew by in the blink of an eye! Don’t forget to stop and enjoy this special time with your partner.

2. Prioritize self-care

Wedding planning can be stressful and time consuming. It’s easy to get burnt out and overwhelmed if you ignore your own needs. Take time for self-care before your wedding day. Self-care doesn’t always have to be elaborate or luxurious. It can be as simple as going for a walk after work in the evenings, reading your favorite book, or journaling in the mornings - whatever will help you to feel your best on your big day. Outsource the more tedious tasks to your wedding planner so that you have time for the things that you love.

3. Ask for help

Speaking of outsourcing, planning a wedding isn’t something that should fall on you alone. There are so many decisions to be made and work to be done, it is too much for one person alone! Delegate tasks to your partner, family members, or of course, your wedding planner. At Classic Wedding Designs, we’ll work with you to lighten your load and alleviate some of the stress that comes with planning a wedding. When you work with us, the days leading up to your wedding will be fun and exciting instead of frantic and stressful.

At the end of the day, your wedding day is about you and your partner. Don’t neglect your relationship or your own well-being for the sake of one day! You’ll find that you will enjoy your engagement and wedding day even more.
