Our favorite PRIDE celebrations — and how to keep the party going all year long!

Updated: Jun 15, 2022

LGBTQ Pride will be front and center throughout the month of June. The Nashville Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022. We all seem to be clawing our way back to a new normal since 2020 and Classic Wedding Designs has followed the vibrant celebrations that took place across the country, and we were completely amazed to see how Pride persevered through 2021 and is thriving in and around Nashville in 2022! Here are some of the great things happening

  • Nashville Pride Pageant will take place at PLAY Dance Bar on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM. This years theme—Angels & Demons

  • Wight Chapel at Scarrit Bennett is hosting Nashville Pride Spirituality Night on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM.

  • The first city-wide public Pride Parade and Festival in Bristol, Tennessee will take place on August 27, 2022.

At Pride events, everyone is family. That’s the kind of party that Classic Wedding Designs can get behind. You, too, can continue to spread love for the LGBTQ community all year ‘round by supporting their businesses. Here are a few of our favorite LGBTQ friendly business owners in the Nashville area:

  • Grab a treat at Classic Cafe located on the campus of Vanderbilt University inside the Mayborn Building. From sandwiches to baked goods to coffee, Classic Cafe has your taste buds covered every day of the week.

  • If you’re getting married, Reverend Brice “Two Step” Thomas can officiate your Nashville LGBTQIA wedding.

Event Planning Pro Tip: Some referral websites like The Wedding Wire allow you to filter their vendor list by “minority-owned”, “LGBTQ-owned”, “veteran-owned,” and more!

  • Shop the best men’s accessories money can buy at Clifton+Leopold. Pocket squares, ties, bow ties and kerchiefs, sold exclusively online but designed in and inspired by the city of Nashville.

We love the energy the LGBTQ community brings to their celebrations. If you’re in the Nashville area, or having an event in Nashville or surrounding areas, we’d love to help you throw your own Pride-centric bash. It would be an honor to jump on board and assist this amazing community in producing your events and celebrations even beyond PRIDE month
